How do I register to attend the SME Arizona Conference?

For additional questions regarding registration for the 2023 SME Arizona Conference, please contact SME Customer Service at cs@smenet.org or 303.948.4200. To receive advanced registration rates, SME must receive your registration form and payment by October 26, 2023. After October 26, 2023, late rates apply, after November 28, on-site registration fees apply.

How can I get a copy of an invoice or receipt?

Please send all receipt inquiries to meetings@smenet.org or contact SME Customer Service at 303.948.4200.

If I pre-register, when do I receive my badge and conference materials?

All badges and conference related materials will be distributed onsite at the registration desk located at JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa.

What does my full conference registration include?

Conference registration includes access to all of the technical sessions and one ticket to the luncheon on December 4, 2023. You can purchase additional tickets for your guest(s). Students are welcome to attend the conference free of charge, but they must register for the conference.

Are technical sessions included in the registration?

Your registration allows you access to all technical sessions.

When does on-site registration for attendees open?

On-site registration will open on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 10:00 am. Visit the Arizona Registration Desk at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa.

May I bring a guest to meals and social functions?

A guest is welcome to attend the luncheon with a purchase of a guest registration. A guest registration includes 1 ticket to the luncheon and 1 drink ticket for the reception.

All guests need to be registered and must wear an official badge to functions. Purchase of additional tickets may be required if applicable. The spouse/guest registration is intended for those not employed in the industry and does not include admission to technical sessions. SME reserves the right to cancel, without notice, a spouse/companion registration suspected to be for a professional and/or sponsor.

How do I register for the Golf Tournament?

The Annual Diggers and Duffers Golf Tournament is organized by the University of Arizona SME Student Chapter.  Tickets can be purchased by following this link:

How do I change my address or other contact information?

All changes to an attendee record must be submitted in writing to cs@smenet.org.

What is the refund and cancellation policy for conference registration?

If circumstances require you to cancel your 2023 SME Arizona Conference registration, you must do so in writing. Written notice must be sent to meetings@smenet.org or by mail to:

Cancellations received by November 2, 2023, will receive a refund, less a $100 processing fee. There are no refunds for no-shows and cancellations postmarked after November 2, 2023. Substitutions will be accepted in writing at no charge until November 2, 2023. After November 2, 2023, a $25 fee will be charged for substitutions. No refunds for registration will be issued after the November 2, 2023 deadline.

Registrants are responsible for the cancellation of their own hotel accommodations.

How do I reserve housing for the SME Arizona Conference?

SME and the Mining Foundation of the Southwest (MFSW) have secured a block of rooms at the special rate of $154 + $10 resort fee, plus tax per night. Reservations must be made by November 10, 2023, and are based on availability. To make reservations online, visit Hotel & Venue.
