Join WIM Arizona and the SME Arizona Conference for this year’s workshop Cultivating Trust: Building Bridges Through Psychological Safety facilitated by Debbie Himsel (Westland Resources). This workshop will include interactive discussions and exercises on the positive changes of DEI&B in the industry, leadership practices to build psychological safety, applications to difficult situations/conversations, and more.
This workshop is designed to:

Identify the current “climate” of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging in our organization.

Understand the role of developing and practicing psychological safety for building inclusive and trusting environments.

Identify current practices that organizations are implementing.

Gain skills in leading and participating in psychologically safe work environments.
Workshop: Controlling Acid Mist Pollution for Copper Electrowinning Facilities

The purpose of this workshop is to share the best practices for controlling acid mist in the copper electrowinning (EW) tankhouse. Topics will include acid mist fundamentals, its sampling methods, and the effectiveness of using different types of surfactants as suppressant. The workshop will help the EW industry to find safer alternatives to replace FC-1100, making EW operations more environmentally safe and effective.

MFSW banquet tickets can be purchased singly or by the table. Please consider purchasing a ticket for a student to attend. All proceeds go to MFSW Educational and Public Outreach Program.
